Please do yourself a favor, start with the right canine and make sure this animal is right for your purposes. You will save yourself much grief down the road. No one breed is inherently better then another, but certain breeds are better suited to particular situations and desires over others.
Think of it this way: The first rule of training is... Start with the right dog. The second rule is... Do not try to get around the first rule.
One does not obtain a Bloodhound to race with Greyhounds, yet the Bloodhound leaves the Greyhound far behind in tracking ability. Neither can compete with a Yorkshire Terrier as a lapdog.

We at Chakara K9 breed our own line of exceptionally high caliber dogs. Although we specialize in selling fully trained adult protection dogs, we produce one to two litters per year of German Shepherd Dogs from working lines. Our mission at Charkara K9 is to breed the best family protection dogs. We will not breed a litter just to sell puppies. There is a tremendous amount of thought put into breeding a sound litter.
We then evaluate the puppies and only hold back the best of the litter to be trained as future adult protection dogs.
The Chakara K9 line is in extremely high demand worldwide; please inquire early if you desire a protection dog of our own kennel lines. We also work with superior, well known breeders in the USA as well as overseas. Our selection process is thorough and stringent. We personally test all dogs, this is the point where the dog fails or move forward into our program. Many of dogs possess wonderful qualities and others are fantastic sporting dogs. However, Chakara K9 only purchases canines that can be trained and finished to our high standards. Our clients deserve nothing less than the best of the best.
Do not be misled about the capability of a sporting dog to protect. It does not have the same training as a true protection dog. We will, on occasion, purchase a titled dog if we feel the dog is suitable genetically to do "real" protection work, and then train the dog to make the transition to a Chakara K9 protection dog.
A written guarantee is provided to all of our clients. Preliminary Hips & Elbows from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or a Hips & Elbows certification from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). All deposits are non-refundable. The new owner is responsible for their new dog, as well as all veterinarian expenses, training expenses incurred, and any other care to maintain a healthy working dog on the date of shipment. All Shipping expenses are the new owners responsibility.
